The Parnell Rotary Club held its annual breakfast with the Prime Minister in May, and raised $4,500 for the Fiji Disaster Relief Fund.
Parnell Rotary hosts the acting Prime Minister each year at their base at The Quality Hotel on Gladstone Road. This is as an opportunity for locals to meet and discuss their interests in an informal, relaxed environment.

This year Prime Minister John Key sat down for a coffee and breakfast with around 130 guests, he shared his views on the state of the nation and some of his key focuses. Open conversation followed with guest Q&A time.
As part of the breakfast, Alzheimers NZ were presented with the donation of $143,000. The money was raised by Parnell Rotary Club in partnership with Progressive Enterprises – who host a legendary annual golf day filled with fun and fundraising for Alzheimers Auckland, helping more people with dementia and their carers to live well.
The hard work and commitment from volunteers at Parnell Rotary Club continues to pay off, with fundraising efforts going towards a variety of local and international projects.
