Our Golf Day was a huge success.  A special thank you for Barry/John/Don/David and Colleen, but really everyone who helped on the day and leading up to the day.   It was a great fun day, with all the interesting things happening around us, a number plate quiz, beer getting lost, Asahi, to other interesting things found on the course.

Barry gave us an overview of an excellent result from the day.  T/O total $208,805.    The raffle was won by Bill Birch, for the trip to Queensland, the Patron of Dementia, so well deserved.

Multiple emails from Stuart Barry have come through regarding Cyclone Gita and assistance needed for Samoa and Tonga.  Earlier this year $600 was donated to RNZCWS for 1 Emergency Response kit and have since funded 1 more.

District 9920 Newsletter - $48,000 in Districts Grants have been given out - $1,250 of that came to our club for the Beehives at Highwic House.

Polio  -  Clubs in our District last year raised $75,000 for Polio and as a reminder, Bill Gates matches 2 for 1, putting the Golf fund raising in perspective.

Rotary Youth Exchange - Outbound co-ordinator John Fothergill is seeking applications.  Students need to be aged between 16 and 18 years, in the month of January 2019.  Applications close 30 April 2018.   Vicky has a candidate.

RYLA  -  Please put your hand up if you can assist David Jones with the interview process.  Application are now going via Newmarket club.  David has received two applications.
