The next Epsom Lodge breakfast for Parnell Rotary to attend is 17 March, hands up to be there - Don, Helen, Henry and Peter. New Rotary Club starting at the Airport - they will met 2x per month. If anyone knows of anyone who may be interested please promote this new club. For the Love of Bees - is promoting their Regenerative Parks project - and invites everyone to view - www.fortheloveofbees.co.nz - they will be holding a session at the Market Garden (obviously to improve this site) at 257 Symonds Street. Check out the website for more details. Ingrid's report - Back to back training for PETS - Pacific Elect Training a great turnout and a mini Intl assembly of sorts. Great networking opportunities. This was followed by NZ wide SPPETS - South Pacific Presidents Elect Training Seminar. This involves 200 Presidents Elect, Assistant ad District Governors Elect. Thank you to club members who helped transport people from the Airport to Waipuna Lodge and especially Peter for your great organisation skills. The next training event - which we will also need volunteers, is the Leaders Elect Training (LETS), on 6 May 2018, at St Cuthberts College. This is a planning seminar for Presidents Elect and their teams. Clubs need to attend to qualify so they can participate in District and Global Grants. Other points of Interest:- Fiji Conference - 6 - 8 April - there's still time to register. Ingrid hopes to see some projects, like the Rotahomes Village. There may be some opportunities in Fiji, that the club may like to like at participating in. Ingrid also attended the Rotary/Rotaract evening, and thinks it would be good to engage more with our Rotaract clubs more. There are 3 in Auckland and 5 in the Pacific Islands. In May, Ingrid and Jenny Herring will be traveling to Tahiti to run training and to Kiribati. To view the possibility of having a Rotary presence reestablished there and in turn will allow Rotary funded projects, if this happens. This will also be to assess potential projects.
