Our Visitors this week were - Ann Stevenson, a guest of Ingrid's, Bradley Morrison, Amanda's dad and Stuart Rowe from Downtown club. Apologies this morning - Ted van Arkle - due to having breakfast with Dave Chambers of Progressive Enterprises. Vicky and Wendy attended the Central Westpac NZ Business Awards on Tuesday evening. A special Congratulations to Wendy's Time Out Bookstore, for being finalists in the customer service category. We had a variety of members take up the Guest speaker slot, they were:- Barry updating us on the Golf days progress and confirming the date - 16 February 2018, set the date now. Ingrid and David C gave us a brief on the PETS day held on Sunday, with exciting changes for Rotary's future development. The Official BEE Welcome was attended by Helen who said it was a great success and good to get this started. Up and Coming Invites and Interests - Riding for the Disabled - David Cairns is gong to attend the official opening on 16 November. ********** Festival of the Roses - this Sunday 19 November, at Dove Myer Robinson Park from 10.30am - 4pm  ********** Plunket's Xmas party - Thursday 30 November $20 - 7.30pm at the Juice Bar - First drink free with Nibbles and Spot prizes. ********** ********** 5th Wednesday Breakfast at the Newly Opened KFC in Fort Street, Akl CBD - 29th November - Ted is very kindly donating this breakfast. The meeting will start at 7.30am. There should be plenty of car parks in the surrounding streets at that time of the morning, plus there is a car park free, up until 8am. *********** Our Christmas Function - Possibly - Tuesday 12th December, 5.30 pm - Colin yet to confirm this date - Auckland Bowling Club - Same place as last year - Same format - Email to follow. There will be no Wednesday meeting that week. The last Rotary meeting for 2017 will be 13th December, as our last event, the Christmas Party. |
