David Cairns introduced Dr Giselle Baker who studied Art History at Auckland University.
She has extensive experience working in Art Galleries around the world. In 1990's she started using computers for photo generation. This was the initial introduction of digital photography. She has produced and edited a book with Fiona Paddington 'The Pressure of Sunlight Falling'. This focused on photograhing 'casts' of Pacific Island subjects. This research led to a journey to Galleries in Europe, and they found 30+ casts in a French gallery. Initially they intended to track the family history of each subject but soon found that to be an onerous task. Giselle is also focused on producing 'Art' books in a digital format, which can normally be downloaded for $4.49 each. Look out for titles: 'Unseen City' 60' in Auckland, 'Bright Lights, Big City', 'A Beautiful Hesitation. Of course these books can also be purchased from 'Time Out' book store in Mt Eden.
