3 minute speaker was Colleen. Jim Staples did the introduction to our guest speaker and Henry Ford did the thank you.

Sir Peter Gluckman was the guest speaker and spoke about his background and the policy advice in which he has been involved. He also spoke about  Covid 19 and indicated that NZ, Australia and Singapore could be the first countries to resume inter connection by travel.

Barry advised that the sum of $160,000 had been raised for Auckland Dementia by golf day.

Colin reported on the exchange students.

Marion the opportunities to use Twitter by members and will follow up on this.

Julie encouraged members to get flu shots for the 70 plus age group asap.

Julie is working on a phone tree and it was agreed at the meeting that it serves a different purpose from  WhatsApp and development of the tree should continue.

Jean Louis said a bit about his Rotary e-club with 35 members around the world, concentrating on international projects. Their meetings are on Tuesdays at 8pm French time.

His club has 51 twin clubs in Rotary.

Wayne Howett spoke about Ronald McDonald Homes in NZ which hosted 4500  families in 2019.
