Welcome to another bulletin for 2024.
Attendance; 11 members including Rosemary .
Apologies: Malcolm, David Jones, Greg and David Hogan.
Presidential announcements;
Standin President Peter Barron, reminded us that next week will be collection day for items and donations for Avis to take to Grace Foundation
The cafe only opens at 7am so when members started arriving at 7.15am we were just about the first customers and parking and traffic were no problem.
Collin was an early arrival and an early leaver having returned from a long return drive to Kaitaia what with the Brynderwyns and the Mamumuka Gorge roads closed!
Wendy was there despite finding time to write (and get published),another letter to the editor in the Herald, much relaxed with no Sergent duties.
The Waiheke property owners were there in full force, the venue being much closer to the ferry.
Rotary and other matters were discussed in depth in the relaxed environment created by our group taking over the largest table in the cafe which managed to comfortably accommodate us all.
Food service was good at a reasonable price and of good quality and there was no noise problem to hinder our conversation.
All in all a good attendance and a good meeting, being something different from our normal.
Meeting closed at 8.20.
Please remember Grace Foundation for next week.
