Tasks include sorting, cleaning, packaging and pricing goods and then stacking on shelves ready for sale in the shops. Books4Tonga needs your help to establish village libaries throughout Tonga. Sort through your old books and select some to donate to this great cause. University of Auckland scientists need your help! Collect microplastic samples to inform a new project that assesses their effect on the ecosystem. There are lots of opportunities across Auckland for back-yard trappers to get involved and help bring the birdsong back to their gardens. Help an international studentWe're looking for volunteers to help our international students understand New Zealand workplace environment and culture. Roll up your sleeves on 18 June to replant native species and clear away invasive weeds. Roll up your sleeves and join us at Dominion Road Primary School for some weeding, mulching, planting and general sorting out of the eco trail and vege garden. Join Conservation Volunteers NZ for a community planting day at Pt. England Reserve in Glen Innes. Bring all the family and stay for a free sausage sizzle! Without volunteers, many of the vital health and medical studies at the Centre for Brain Research simply won’t happen. VSA sends extraordinary Kiwis to share their experience and knowledge with local people and communities, to make better lives for everyone. The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship needs volunteers from the entrepreneurial and business communities to bring their programs to life. Our 2017 Young Alumna of the Year, optometrist Erna Takazawa, is in need of pre-loved glasses to give a new lease of life to people in Samoa with poor eyesight. |
