After a successful (despite the weather) Woman in Rotary walk, we decided to do another Rotary Walk for Spring. Time: 9am start (though most will feel it as 8am as daylight saving starts) Meet: Cornwall Park Café (lots of parking) Approx 5km walking ending back where we start, for a much deserved drink & food for those wanting to stay & socialize more. For the other months we have the following planned with more info to come later. Summer – Clubs invited to do a Xmas Project during the month of Dec Autumn – Another Walk, around the end of March. Date TBC Winter – Clubs invited to support District wide “PJ’s in June” as Middlemore Hospital alone, need 50,000 a year for their patients. Then our biggest news is our PI committee have a new & exciting Newsletter coming out this month. Annabel (RC Ellerslie Sunrise Inc) is putting her skills together to produce an informative newsletter for ALL Rotarians. We will be sharing ideas, stories but more importantly what is coming up within our District & clubs, which hopefully will inspire others into potential ideas or support. - What major activities/functions have you planned for this Rotary year, eg. Big Birthday celebrations, Annual Charity events, pretty much anything of significance.
