There were lots of members and guests present including old friends who we han'rt seen since the lockdowns!

Speaker Christine Fernyhough was both our very generous hostess and our guide.
Christine gave the background to some of the numerous paintings and artifacts and their painters and designers.
Christine's apartment provides a spectacular view of the harbour and gulf. The inside is equally breathtaking a with all the walls covered in paintings representative of the vast majority of modern and well known New Zealand artists. Your humble correspondent was particular taken with the small Rita Angus picture and the Dick Frizzell "Magpie' series .
It really was an abundant display of NZ art. We were very fortunate to have a private viewing of this unique collection.
Additionally there was plenty of food and amongst other wine a decent pinot noir!
A good time was had by all!

The meal fee goes up to $25 next week. Out go the $2 pieces and in come $5 bills.
Being the first meeting of the month all toiletry items should be bought as our contribution to the Grace Foundation.
