Christmas Puddings:
Members are invited to buy Rotary puddings at $23 per pudding This is a fundraiser for the Club The cost to the Club is $17 per pudding. Payment for the puddings is to the account of 12 3109 0110290 02 and the preferred reference is "Xmas Pud". So far 10 have been sold - what's Christmas like without a traditional pud?

Auckland Airport Rotary club's Polio fundraising movie night has been organised for Tuesday Dec 6. Tickets are $27 each which include a drink or popcorn or softop ice- cream at The Monterey, Howick.

The Dean of Auckland Cathedral is speaking with us on 14th December (our last meeting for the year) The cathedral is supporting this charity and has asked that we circulate this notice. If you can help (getting rid of some of the detirus the children/grandchildren don't need bring it along on the 14th.

Don has been reading Mike Butler's "A Counterblast to the Global Warming Hypothesis" which argues the increase in carbon and methane in the atmosphere is coincidental not causation to increasing temperatures and weather extremes. It's possible that he's right but is it worth the risk?

Madison Change is the Drowning Prevention Advisor of Drowning Prevention Auckland. As the sea is getting m]warmer more people are swimming. Each year approximately 15 Aucklanders are drowned. These are predominantly either young (under 5) or old (over 65) and men are more vulnerable so the message is - be careful out there, and teach your grandchildren to swim! The organisation has life jackets that it will lend out - free. Contact Madison at madison.chang@dpanz.org.nz
