The usual informal meeting will be 23rd January 2019 (no Speaker) First Formal Meeting for 2019 will be 30th January 2019 No meeting on February 6th 2019 (Waitangi Day) Will be meeting on 13th February 2019 for Golf Day briefing. There will be no meeting on 20th February 2019. (Golf Day recovery) The normal meeting program will resume from 20th Feb. Mel is married to Paul, (a sports and business coach). They have a nine year old son, Hunter. Mel (and good on you), has already registered for District Conference and is helping with the purchases for Epsom Lodge Christmas presents. SPEAKERS Our 3 Minute Speaker - Ray Edward-Paul, who played Guitar and sang, "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac. This weeks Speaker Our very own Ted van Arkel - talked about how his business life commenced as a 15 year old Woolworths Trainee and about joining JCI's in the 1960’s. This showed opportunities to network and build relationships, which also started at that time. Ted intimated his core values have never changed since then. Following on, Ted managed and owned Pakuranga Placemakers, then became CEO of Progressive Enterprises and is now Chairman and Director of several listed and unlisted companies, including Restaurants Brands today.
