The Parnell community garden is up and running with another working bee this Thursday 25th January at 9am, hopefully with some from Grace Foundation to spread the living compost.
Rypen is 22nd to 24th March and club will see if anyone from Grace Foundation or Pope Pius school can attend.
3 Minute speaker was Peter Don who had the original newspaper edition, of Evening Post dated 29th December which announced the Tangawai rail disaster at Xmas 70years ago, during visit of Queen Elizabeth 11.

Fellow board members are Richard Northey, Greg Moyle and a rep from Ngati Whatoa.
There are 19 local boards in Auckland with Waitemata having 94,000 residents
Her board has an annual budget of $33million including $150,000forgrants to local projects.
We were advised that the locals object to any cycle lanes for Parnell Road, but AT is planning to add lights at top of Brighton Road.
